For interim review all the groups had to present a video summary of their research, recordings and findings about New Street station as a waiting space.
Our group was interested in how does appearance of waiting spaces affect the waiting experience?
In order to begin analysing the station we divided the space into three categories of spaces: for waiting, standing and walking. Furthermore we focused on three elements, which create the atmosphere in these spaces: light, form and materiality.
For the film, as a group we decided to compare the space between day and night time. From which we could begin making conclusions about which element has more of an impact in our subject spaces.
