Physical Modelling Techniques

Following our first meeting when we discussed exploring Birmingham through physical casting, specifically using foam, I began to research various modelling techniques. I came across an article, which demonstrated the range of finishes you can achieve with foam; it may be of interest to this project, or generally in other projects. Even though we may now be focusing more so on the digital aspect now, it might still be useful.

As we saw from the wide range of castings last week at the V&A exhibition and The John Soane Museum, this article follows the theme of copying and authenticity.
